HOW DO I... MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
ROUTINE APPOINTMENTS
Please telephone the surgery on 01453 764222 and speak to our reception staff, who will offer you a routine appointment. In order to try and provide continuity of care please try and see your usual GP or the same doctor for a specific on-going problem. We appreciate that during busy periods it may be over a week before you can see a particular practitioner.
URGENT/EMERGENCY APPOINTMENTS
In the event of a new problem that cannot wait please telephone the surgery on 01453 764222 and speak to a receptionist. You will be asked for your contact details and to give a brief description of your problem (however, we do accept the need for confidentiality). You will then be advised that the triage nurse will call you back.
PLEASE NOTE: It is important that you are available to take their phone call and that you keep the line free. This service provides same day advice for urgent problems and, if deemed necessary, face to face assessment by a health care professional. Please telephone first rather than just turn up at reception. For the benefit of all patients please do not use this system for chronic, on-going problems.
HOW DO I... OBTAIN A HOME VISIT?
If you need a home visit,
please telephone reception before 10.30am unless it is an emergency, as this helps
the doctors to plan their visits. Home visits are for those who are housebound
or too ill to come to the surgery. It is most helpful if you are able to attend
the surgery as the doctor has better facilities for examinations and tests. It
should also be remembered that a doctor can see a number of patients at the surgery
in the time that it takes to do one home visit.
HOW DO I... OBTAIN TEST RESULTS?
We will not routinely
contact you if your test results are satisfactory. If any treatment/action is
required we will contact you to make an appointment.
